What is Sustainability?

According to the EPA, the most widely quoted definition of sustainability comes from our very own sustainability speaker, Gro Harlem Brundtland, and her 1987 Report of the World Commissions on Environment and Development:

Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

Why Does My Organization Need to Become Environmentally Responsible?

The environment and sustainability is on everyone's mind and at the forefront of the global and national agenda. Customers want to buy "green", communities want to protect their natural resources and Governments around the world are tightening environmental regulations.

APB's keynote speakers on the environment include influential politicians, world leaders, "greentrepreneurs," acadmeics, authors and celebrity activists. Covering the range of experiences from policy making to policy protesting, all of our speakers share a passion for the environment and can offer your organization a fresh perspective and expert advice on how to move towards promoting a greener, more sustainable world.

Whether you need a speaker to show you how to adopt sustainable business practices or integrate environmental resposibility into your organization's value-proposition, we have a speaker who can provide you with the resources and tools you need.
