Mental Health & Substance Abuse
Who Are APB's Speakers on Mental Health and Substance Abuse?
APB is proud to represent speakers who can address mental health issues from consumer and provider perspectives, and who can effectively educate both teens and adults. Some of our speakers share personal stories of addiction, recovery, crisis and intervention. Others have supported family members who are bi-polar, living with depression, or who have lost a loved one to suicide. Our roster also includes nationally recognized psychiatrists, psychologists and counselors who are respected for their experience and depth of knowledge.
The common goal of all our speakers is to educate and inform audiences, welcome questions, and shine a light of understanding on the shadow of mental illness. Their stories are compelling, their commitment to change unwavering, and their message one of inspiration and hope.
