Alexandra Cousteau to Host Blue August on Planet Green
This August, Planet Green, along with hosts Alexandra Cousteau and her brother Philippe, will head to the Gulf of Mexico for the second installment of the month-long programming event Blue August, which will offer a wealth of topical programming that examines the nature of our water and the various pressing issues that threaten it.
Specific programming includes Oceans Blue, featuring Philippe Cousteau and a team of underwater explorers as they attempt to unravel some of the vast mysteries of the world's oceans; Coastwatch, which follows members of New Zealand's Ministry of Fisheries as they fight to protect the country's marine ecosystems; and the documentaries One Water, Sharkwater, and Academy Award-winning The Cove.
Blue August premieres Sunday, August 8, at 8pm on Planet Green.
