Celebrating the 90th Anniversary of Women's Right to Vote

Today we celebrate the 90th anniversary of an important day in American history: on August 18, 1920, the 19th Amendment was ratified, which guaranteed women the right to vote.

APB is proud to work with many of today's most influential women's history speakers, including Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Sheryl WuDunn, whose book, Half the Sky, chronicles the trials and triumphs of women struggling around the world for opportunity and equality. While today's anniversary serves as a time for us to look back and recognize the many achievements of women throughout history, it also charges us with an important task: continually striving towards gender equality and towards creating a more just future for all.
