Dr. Brundtland: An Influential Figure Who Continues to Lead

Dr. Gro Harlem Brundtland is a true trailblazer. A physician and Scientist, she became the youngest and first woman Prime Minister of Norway, the first female Director-General of the World Health Organization and Chair of the World Commission of Environment and Development. As the author of the Brundtland Report, her name will forever be synonymous with the sustainability movement. She is one of Britannica's 100 Most Influential Women of All Time, a UN Special Envoy on Climate Change and a member of the Council of Elders alongside other such influential activist as Desmond Tutu, Mary Robinson and Jimmy Carter.
