A respected advocate for women's rights and leadership, the first female Prime Minister of Canada has served as president of the Council of Women World Leaders and the International Women's Forum.
Internationally acknowledged for her intellect and experience, she has also participated in high-level meetings of NATO, the Commonwealth, and G-7. The recipient of numerous honors, including seven honorary doctorates, she is a Fellow at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard where she previously lectured about gender, power, and global leadership.
