Kristof Documentary 'Reporter' Airs on HBO
Two time Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Nick Kristof is the focus of a documentary by Director Eric Metzgar airing Thursday, February 18 at 9:30PM EST on HBO. The film, entitled Reporter, follows Kristof's journey through the war-ridden Democratic Republic of the Congo as he attempts to report on the horrific devastation endured by the Congolese over the past twelve years.
Eschewing statistics for face-to-face encounters, Kristof stirs audiences by traveling through ravaged villages and displacement camps and meeting the Congolese affected by the civil conflict, including a harrowing journey into a jungle hideout to interview Congo's reigning rebel warlord, General Nkunda.
