New to APB: 'Tracks' Author Robyn Davidson
APB is proud to announce that Robyn Davidson - the author of the best-selling memoir Tracks, which is currently being made into a feature film starring Mia Wasikowska and produced by the Oscar-winning team that made The King's Speech - has joined our roster.
Hailed as "the queen of the desert," Davidson crossed more than 1,700 miles of the Australian Outback with four camels and a dog as sole company. For nine months, she endured some of the most inhospitable, remote desert country possible and battled searing temperatures, charging bull camels, rancid food, and thirst to ultimately arrive at the Indian Ocean. Along the way, she became a passionate environmentalist and an advocate for social justice and indigenous politics.
A romantic symbol of adventure, she shares her journey of exploration through landscapes spanning the desert and the mind and inspires audiences with her tale of determination, persistence, and resourcefulness.
