Dr. Linda Yueh

A fellow in economics at Oxford University, Dr. Linda Yueh is a member of the World Economic Forum and a contributor to CNBC and CNN. An intriguing keynote speaker and authority on major economies as well as those of developing countries, she explores the effects of globalization and drivers of economic growth and development.

Dr. Yueh is also a visiting professor at the London Business School, and an economics commentator on the BBC, Channel 4 News, CNBC, CNN and ITV News. Previously, she was the ITV News Economics Commentator and an international corporate lawyer. She directs the China Growth Centre at Oxford University, is an associate of the Centre for Economic Performance at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts in the UK.

Dr. Yueh’s work examines major economies such as Britain, China, United States, and Europe, as well as developing countries. She focuses on the macroeconomic context of the global financial crisis, the drivers of economic growth and development, the rise of emerging economies, and the effects of globalization and international economic law.

Dr. Yueh has published widely in academic journals, specialist magazines, as well as several books. She is Series Editor of the Economic Development and Growth book series for World Scientific Publishing. Her books include: Macroeconomics, Globalisation and Economic Growth in China, and The Law and Economics of Globalisation: New Challenges for a World in Flux. She is also the editor of The Future of Asian Trade and Growth and the upcoming The Economy of China.

Dr. Yueh has served as an advisor to the British government on the Economist Intelligence Unit Executive Briefing Advisory Board and is a member of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Agenda Council on Energy Security in Davos, Switzerland making her a sought after keynote speaker on global economies, developing nations, and macroeconomics.
