Dent received his MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar and was elected to the Century Club for leadership excellence. Since 1988, he has been speaking to executives around the world. He has appeared on "Good Morning America", PBS, CNBC, CNN/FN and has been featured in "Barron's", "Investor's Business Daily", "Entrepreneur", "Fortune", "Success", "The Wall Street Journal" and "Omni."
While at Bain & Company, Dent worked as a consultant with several Fortune 100 companies. He has been CEO of several entrepreneurial growth companies. Dent is an investment strategist and manages private investments in the Dent Strategic Sector Fund. Dent, through H.S. Dent Advisors, acts as a sub-advisor to The AIM/Dent Demographic Trends Fund and as a consultant to The Van Kampen Funds Roaring 2000's Unite Investment Trust.
