Seth Davis

In just a short time, and at a relatively young age, Seth Davis has established himself as one of the most accomplished and respected voices in the worlds of print and broadcast journalism. He is also an experienced master of ceremonies and public speaker whose motivational message, "Define Yourself," is tailored to resonate with young and older audiences alike.

Since joining CBS Sports in 2003, Davis has become one of the faces of March Madness through his position as an on-air college basketball studio analyst. He serves as the lone analyst in the CBS studio during the network's "At the Half" segments for all regular season games, and his reportage continues throughout the NCAA Tournament alongside his studio partners, Greg Gumbel and Greg Anthony.

During his tenure at CBS Sports, Davis has also contributed live segments to The NFL Today, worked as a sideline reporter on NFL football with Jim Nantz and Phil Simms, and served as host for CBS' weekend Sportsdesk reports.

In addition to his broadcast work, Davis is also a staff writer at Sports Illustrated magazine, which he joined in 1995. Besides writing numerous features, he has authored the magazine's weekly "Inside College Basketball" column and been a regular contributor to SI's "Golf Plus" section. Davis' work has been recognized several times by national writing organizations. His 2003 profile of golfer John Daly earned him first place in the Golf Writers Association of America's non-daily feature category. Davis is also a regular contributor to SI.com, where he authors his popular "Hoop Thoughts" column on college basketball.

In 2009, Davis, a New York Times best-selling author, wrote When March Went Mad: The Game That Transformed Basketball, a non-fiction account of one of the most epic NCAA Tournaments of all time, the 1979 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. It is a dramatic story of how two legendary players, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird, burst on the scene in an NCAA championship that forever changed modern-day basketball. He is currently writing a biography of John Wooden, a former basketball player also known to have been one of the most revered coaches in history. Davis is also the author of the 2001 memoir Equinunk, Tell Your Story: My Return to Summer Camp.

Since 2002, Davis has worked as an on-air host, reporter, and analyst for College Sports Television, the CBS-owned cable network. He has been a regular guest on the MSG Network as well as numerous television and radio shows, including The Best Damn Sports Show, Pardon the Interruption, The Jim Rome Show, and ESPN's Mike and Mike in the Morning.

A 1992 graduate of Duke University, Davis also has a background in comedy: he used to perform stand-up at various comedy clubs in New York City.
