Biography
Srin is an entrepreneur with a disability who sold the company he co-founded, Accomable, to Airbnb in November 2017. Srin has been a wheelchair user since childhood and co-founded Accomable in July 2015 in London, UK, to make it easier for people with disabilities to find accessible travel accommodation around the world. To create Accomable, Srin taught himself how to code and launched Accomable from his bedroom – and two years later, the company was acquired by Airbnb – and Srin moved to San Francisco to lead Airbnb’s global efforts to improve accessibility for travel.
Srin started his professional career as a corporate lawyer in the City of London at a leading global firm; and then received an MBA at the University of Oxford. At Oxford, Srin started to learn to code and discovered his love of making technology products to make life easier for people.
Creating Accomable was borne out of Srin’s love of travel and wanting to solve all the challenges he faced to make it easier for others with disabilities to explore the world. In the last few years, Srin has travelled the world and has done everything from scuba diving in Bali to a camping safaris in Southern Africa; despite having a severe physical disability and 24/7 care support.
Srin is now a global ambassador for technology, entrepreneurship and inclusion, and in recent years, has delivered talks to the United Nations, to members of Congress, the Paralympics and a number of leading corporations and NGOs around the world.
