Tariq Nasheed’s honest and humorous dating advice has redefined the “game” of love, empowering both men and women to relate to one another and improve their relationships. From high school dropout to acclaimed author and actor, Nasheed’s fresh take on playing the game has revitalized the language of love in today’s pop culture.

Nasheed has recently released an instructional DVD called Mack Lessons, aimed to educate men and women on being “Mack.” He is currently working on another book of relationship advice geared towards women, titled The Art of Golddigging, and a book for men titled The Formula for Getting Women.

In 1999 his first novel, The Art of Mackin, turned him from an underground messiah to a New York Times best-selling author overnight. The book has sold over 250,000 copies since its release. He based the book on his experience living and working on the streets of Los Angeles, and the many works of psychology which he read in public libraries while homeless. His guide to the dating game has become a classic, and spawned several follow-ups, including Play or Be Played – his advice for women trying to learn the “game” – and The Mack Within, his ultimate dating rulebook.

His sensational advice has landed him on television shows such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O’Brien, as well as been featured on MTV, VHI and BET among others. Nasheed has also created and hosts a series of radio podcasts called “The Mack Lessons Radio Show,” which offers more of his popular relationship and dating advice, among other social issues.
