In 2002, Olson decided to try her hand at television by hosting a new series called Divine Design. On the show, she invites viewers inside the lives of homeowners who need a space in their homes transformed for an upcoming event. Guiding viewers through the process of knocking down walls, designing entire floors and building rooms from scratch, she shares information on the latest in style and design, step by step. Divine Design with Candice Olson debuted simultaneously in the US on HGTV and in Canada on the W network, immediately establishing itself as the #1 rated prime series on both networks. Olson attended the University of Calgary in Canada then continued her academic studies at the School of Interior Design at Ryerson University. Upon graduating, she was immediately scouted for her remarkable talent by some of North America's top interior design firms.
