His leadership roles include serving as a strategic consultant for the American Medical Association and as the Chief Operating Officer of the Cook County Department of Public Health, where he was instrumental in safeguarding the health of millions.

With over a decade of experience at the CDC as a "disease detective," Dr. Hasbrouck has played a crucial role in global health initiatives, including the World Health Organization’s polio eradication program and the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. Dr. Hasbrouck has made significant contributions to academia, teaching at various schools of medicine and public health. His exceptional service earned him numerous prestigious awards, including the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drum Major Award from the Illinois Commission on Diversity and Human Relations in 2022, recognition as a Top Black in Healthcare by BlackDoctor.org and the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Disparities Solutions in 2016, the Paul Harris Fellow Award from Rotary International in 2014, and the Passing the Torch Award for Dedication to the Field of Public in 2013. He was also honored with the 2023 Public Service Award from the UCLA Alumni Association.

Dr. Hasbrouck holds a BA and MPH from UC Berkeley, graduated as a Dean’s Scholar from UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine, and completed his internal medicine residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Cornell Medical Center. He also earned an MBA from the University of Saint Mary and a certificate in executive leadership from the Harvard Kennedy School.
