Illusionist & Magician
Jason Bishop has starred in two of his own Off-Broadway shows, “Jason Bishop - Straight Up Magic” and “Jason Bishop - Believe in Magic” both at the New Victory Theater on New York’s famed 42nd street. He’s been featured on NBC’s Today Show, CW Network’s Masters of Illusion, Canada’s popular Breakfast Television Toronto and Europe’s legendary Le Plus Grand Cabaret Du Monde Tilmed in Paris, France. The Jason Bishop Show Promo
The child of two heroin addicts, Jason Bishop’s childhood was defined by abandonment and hunger. He regularly had to pick through garbage to find food and was left alone in abandoned buildings at night. Bishop spent much of his childhood at St. Joseph’s Orphanage in Philadelphia, PA before entering into the foster care system. He did not let his nightmarish childhood prevent him from following his dreams and finding success. However, he did not do it alone. Bishop shares his gratitude for the child social workers, therapists and caseworkers who saved his life saying, "people I never met contributed to help save and enrich my life and the life of countless other children." In this inspiring talk, Jason shares how child welfare workers shaped his life and provided a support system that allowed him to thrive in the face of adversity.
"Awesome - it was a great night and he really connected with our group! Thanks so much for all your help."
"Jason was amazing! We have received so much great feedback about him. I’d bring him back next year if we didn’t change out our entertainment each year! But I’d love to bring him back in the future for an encore performance since he was such a hit. I’m still getting questions from people about how he did those tricks. Most of the people I’ve spoken to have said he’s the best entertainment we’ve ever had! He is an Illusionist but also a bit of a comedian and really kept the crowd laughing."
"We booked Jason for our annual Christmas party and the show was spectacular. I was very impressed with the wide array of talents he showcased. Our guests were mesmerized by his close up magic and grand illusions, which were all original. We found him extremely personable with a great sense of humor. In fact, I had numerous long time employees tell me that Jason was the best entertainer we have ever had at our Christmas party. It was a really fun evening and I would highly recommend Jason for any event."
"We are delighted to have presented Jason Bishop (Kim and Gizmo too!) two seasons in a row. Having never presented a magic and illusions show, we wanted to introduce the genre to our audiences and it was a great success. Thank you so much for the beautiful, humorous, captivating way you produce your shows. The New Victory and our audiences are looking forward to the next iteration!"
"Jason Bishop is a master when it comes to all things involving the art of illusion."
"I am recommending you and your fabulous show to my colleagues."
"That was fantastic! What a great show! I am so happy you were able to perform for us… and make it even more special! Please pass on our appreciation (to your staff) on behalf of Little Caesars. You helped make our 50th Anniversary one to remember!"
"...a huge success! People were talking about this show for days and days after the performance! They immediately requested that he return..."
"It was an honor and a privilege for The Dunn Center for the Performing Arts to present Jason Bishop. We had 1,100 happy customers! Jason is incredibly talented and does a great job on engaging his audience. We will be inviting him for a return engagement!"
"His magic is truly astounding. He performs a number of jawdropping illusions that seemingly defy all laws of physics, but for me his facility with simple props like cards or balls was the most impressive of all. That level of skill is only possible with unimaginable hours of training and rare natural ability--it's a privilege watching someone do what they were unquestionably born to do."
