Biography
Jessica Tarlov is a co-host and the Democratic voice of The Five on FOX News, the most-watched show in cable news, and is widely recognized as one of the Democratic Party’s most effective communicators. On a program where she regularly finds herself outnumbered by conservative co-hosts, Jessica has built a reputation for bringing data, preparation, and composure to some of the country’s most contentious political debates. In addition to co-hosting The Five, she plays an integral role in FOX News’ special coverage and is a fixture on election nights and during breaking news. She also co-hosts the podcast Raging Moderates with NYU Professor Scott Galloway, where they examine the political and cultural issues shaping the country while looking for centrist solutions to the challenges facing Americans.
That ability to engage across political divides is at the heart of her book, I Disagree: Winning Arguments Without Losing Friends, a practical guide to standing up for what you believe without losing the relationships that matter. Drawing on her experience debating before millions of viewers, Jessica explores how to communicate with confidence when conversations become contentious and how to remain open to people who see the world differently. She shares lessons on using facts and data effectively, knowing when to listen, and finding common ground without sacrificing conviction. The book also looks at the future of coalition building and how more constructive political dialogue can take shape in an increasingly polarized culture.
Before becoming one of cable news’ most prominent political commentators, Jessica built her career in polling, political strategy, and research. She served as Vice President of Research and Consumer Insight at Bustle Digital Group, where she developed extensive expertise in Millennial and Gen Z attitudes and behavior. Previously, she spent more than five years as a senior strategist with Schoen Consulting and worked as a Democratic pollster. Her experience includes advising high-profile clients on messaging and public opinion, including former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg and Everytown for Gun Safety. She earned her B.A. in History from Bryn Mawr College and holds a PhD in political science from the London School of Economics.
Jessica’s experience in media, polling, and political strategy gives her a perspective that extends beyond the headlines. She speaks to corporations, universities, associations, and civic organizations about politics, communication, and navigating disagreement in a divided culture. Known for engaging opposing viewpoints while staying grounded in the facts, Jessica helps audiences better understand political and cultural divides and communicate more effectively across them.

I Disagree: Communicating Across Differences Without Losing the Relationship
Disagreement does not have to become division. Drawing on her experience as the ideological minority on The Five and the ideas explored in her book I Disagree: Winning Arguments Without Losing Friends, Jessica Tarlov offers a practical approach to communicating with people who see the world very differently. Jessica explores how to stand firmly behind your beliefs without becoming combative, use facts without assuming facts alone will change minds, and listen without treating openness as surrender. She also shares what she has learned about staying composed when challenged, finding genuine areas of common ground, and maintaining productive relationships after difficult conversations end. Extending far beyond politics, Jessica applies these lessons to ideological, generational, workplace, and cultural differences that increasingly shape how people interact. Engaging and highly relevant, this keynote shows audiences how stronger communication can make disagreement more constructive without asking anyone to compromise what they believe.
Audiences will learn:
How to disagree without damaging the relationship
Ways to communicate with conviction while remaining open to other perspectives
How to find common ground across political, workplace, and cultural differences
American Politics: The Forces Reshaping the Electorate
American politics is changing in ways that go far beyond any single election. Drawing on her experience in polling, strategy, media, and political analysis, Jessica Tarlov gives audiences a data-informed look at the voters, coalitions, and messages shaping the country’s political future. Jessica examines what polling can actually tell us, how generational and demographic shifts are changing the electorate, and where the major parties are gaining or losing support. She also explores the growing gap between the stories dominating political media and the issues voters say matter most, offering insight into what persuadable and moderate voters are responding to. Informed by her work on The Five and the longer-form conversations she has on Raging Moderates, Jessica brings context to the candidates, elections, and political developments of the moment without losing sight of the larger trends underneath them. This timely and highly adaptable keynote helps audiences better understand where American politics is headed and why.
Audiences will learn:
What polling and voter behavior reveal about the changing political landscape
How voter coalitions, generational shifts, and party messaging are evolving
Why the political conversation in the media does not always reflect what voters care about most
The New Media Landscape: How Attention, Trust & Influence Are Changing
The media landscape is no longer defined by a handful of dominant platforms. Audiences now move constantly between television, podcasts, social media, newsletters, and independent creators, changing not only where people get information but how they decide whom to trust. Drawing on her experience across cable news, digital media, audience research, and podcasting, Jessica Tarlov explores how this fragmentation is reshaping communication and influence. Jessica examines the rise of clip culture, the growing importance of the messenger and platform, and why a single television moment can take on an entirely different life once it travels online. She also looks at how younger audiences discover information and what organizations often misunderstand about reaching people when attention is spread across so many channels. This engaging keynote gives leaders, brands, and communicators a clearer understanding of how to connect with audiences in a media environment where trust is harder to earn and influence is increasingly decentralized.
Audiences will learn:
How audience behavior is changing across traditional and emerging media
Why platform, messenger, and format increasingly shape how a message is received
How organizations can communicate more effectively in a fragmented media environment
Jewish Identity, Israel & the Future of the American Left
For many Jewish Americans, the relationship between identity, Israel, and progressive politics has become increasingly complicated. Drawing on her perspective as a Jewish American, political analyst, and former Democratic strategist, Jessica Tarlov examines how October 7 and its aftermath have intensified debates over antisemitism, Zionism, U.S.-Israel relations, and belonging within the political left. Jessica explores the generational and ideological differences shaping Jewish attitudes toward Israel, as well as the tensions emerging inside the Democratic coalition as voters and leaders wrestle with competing views of the conflict and America’s role in the region. She also considers where criticism of Israeli policy, anti-Zionism, and antisemitism intersect, where important distinctions remain, and why those distinctions matter in political and public discourse. Rather than offering simple answers, Jessica brings a personal and data-informed perspective to the choices facing liberal Jewish Americans and what those tensions may mean for the future of the Democratic Party. This thoughtful conversation offers audiences greater context for understanding one of the most complex intersections of identity, foreign policy, and American politics today.
Audiences will learn:
How October 7 and its aftermath have affected Jewish identity and political engagement in the United States
Why attitudes toward Israel differ across generations and ideological groups
What these debates may mean for Jewish voters and the future of the American left

Jessica explores the forces that influence brand trust, purchasing behavior, media consumption, and the way younger consumers gather information.
