Biography
Dr. Logan Levkoff specializes in uncomfortable conversations. Though she is an internationally recognized expert on sexuality and relationships, she fearlessly uses her online platform to encourage honest conversation about provocative subjects. Logan speaks on a wide range of issues, including sexual health and sexuality education, parenting, combatting antisemitism in school settings, trends in sexuality, deconstructing double standards, relationship hurdles and intimacy, consent, and the role of sexuality and representation (or lack thereof) in pop culture, business, and politics.
For over twenty years, Logan has been teaching, designing, and implementing
sexuality education programs, faculty development, and parent education in many secular and religious independent and public schools, universities, medical schools, community groups, and global networking organizations, including YPO/WPO. Logan’s expertise with teens and parents has been profiled in numerous publications, including The New York Times. Recently, her experience fighting antisemitism was featured in the Times of Israel, the New York Post, Aish, JNS, and i24.
Logan is the host of “The Sexy Side of Zionism,” on IZZY, Stream Israel TV. She has proven that the “Jewish Mom” is no longer the butt of a joke; she is a fearless warrior for Jewish pride. Logan is also the founder of Dor Chazak, a parent-teen leadership program in Israel.
In addition, as a thought leader and expert in her field, Logan frequently appears on television and is a trusted media source. She was the sexuality expert for the first three seasons of the breakout hit for A&E/FYI, Married at First Sight. Logan has been a regular guest on shows such as Good Morning America, The Today Show, The CBS Early Show, Oprah, Fox News Channel, and CNN. She was also the host of CafeMom’s show, Mom Ed: In the Bedroom.
Logan’s work has been recognized by Jewish Women International; she was a 2018 Woman to Watch. Logan is also the co-director of the Modern Sexuality Training Institute, the educator arm of Modern Sex Therapy Institute. Logan also served on the faculty for the University of Michigan’s Sexual Health certificate program teaching the next generation of sexuality educators.
While Logan’s platform began with her work inthe sexuality space, she has proudly expanded her platform to proud Zionist activism and combatting antisemitism. She is a member of the first cohort of The Tel Aviv Institute’s “Jews Talk Justice” Lab, was named one of the Top 50 Pro-Israel Influencers in 2021 and 2023, and was on the Jewish100 list of top Jewish influencers for multiple years. She has spoken at many Jewish and pro-Israel organizations championing Zionism and emphasizing the importance of fighting back against the tide of antisemitism and other “difficult conversations” in her role as “Professional Jewish Mom.”
Logan is the author of two parenting books: Got Teens? The Doctor Moms’ Guide to Sexuality, Social Media, and Other Adolescent Realities with Dr. Jennifer Wider (Seal Press, 2014) and Third Base Ain't What it Used to Be: What Your Kids are Learning About Sex Today and How to Teach Them to Become Sexually Healthy Adults (Open Road Media, May 2012). Both of these works help parents to understand the role sexuality plays in their children’s lives and empowers them to become better at-home sexuality educators. Logan is also a contributor to ToughLove: Eighteen Top Experts Share Proven Strategies for Raising Confident, Kind, Resilient Kids. (Simon & Schuster, 2016). She also penned the digital guide, How to Get Your Wife to Have Sex with You (Good in Bed Publications, 2010). Her work has also been featured in Kveller and numerous other publications.
Logan is the Chairperson of the Caravan for Democracy Student Leadership Mission to Israel, a program for non-Jewish student leaders on college campuses run through Jewish National Fund and serves on the JNF NYC Board and is the Regional Chair of Israel Advocacy and Education. She is also a founding member of the #IBelieveIsraeliWomen movement. Logan received her Ph.D. in Human Sexuality, Marriage, and Family Life Education from New York University and an M.S. in Human Sexuality Education and a B.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in New York City with her husband, son, and daughter.
