Akshay Nanavati

Biography

Akshay Nanavati is a U.S. Marine veteran, author, global explorer, and resilience expert who has conquered drug addiction in high school, PTSD, alcoholism, and near-suicidal despair after fighting the war in Iraq.

He has since pushed the limits of the human mind and body to the edge of what’s possible. From walking ahead of vehicles searching for bombs in Iraq to running ultramarathons to building a global business to skiing over 1,200 miles in the polar regions—losing two fingers to frostbite in Antarctica—his life is a testament to what’s possible when we embrace adversity as a means to mastery and growth.

Most recently, he spent 60 days alone in Antarctica, dragging a 420-pound sled uphill for 500 miles in the harshest snow conditions ever recorded—an expedition called “the boldest in modern history.”

Featured in CNN, Inc, Forbes, Fast Company, FOX, and The Washington Post, and praised by the Dalai Lama, Akshay has spoken to Fortune 500 companies, elite entrepreneurs, and leading universities on mastering fear, unlocking resilience, and turning struggle into strength. His message doesn’t just inspire—it transforms.
