Mike Greenberg

Mike Greenberg

Mike Greenberg was the popular host of ESPN Radio’s “Mike and Mike in the Morning,” the highest-rated drive time sports talk show on the dial with over 3 million listeners. He’s been to Super Bowls, World Series, All-Star Games, and Final Fours; he’s interviewed Michael Jordan, Joe Montana, and Wayne Gretzky—basically, he gets paid to enthuse about sports, which means he’s the envy of most men in America. Greenberg goes to the mat in his first book, Why My Wife Thinks I’m an Idiot. It is the hilarious, sometimes touching, and endlessly entertaining debut of one of America’s fastest-rising sportscasters, a wry and revealing look at one man’s good-hearted but mistake-prone attempt to grow up before his children do. Marriage, fatherhood, manhood, fame, athletes, crazed aunts with gambling problems, the true significance of sports, the worst possible thing to say in a room full of pregnant women—no topic is beyond his reach.

His second book, Mike and Mike’s Rules for Sports and Life, co-authored with co-host Mike Golic, is a riotous back-and-forth on everything from why baseball managers should dress like real people to how to lose a fight with one’s wife with dignity.

Also an anchor for ESPNEWS, Greenberg is heard on ESPN Radio each weekday morning and serves as a contributing anchor on ESPN each weekday evening on SportsCenter.

Prior to joining ESPN, Greenberg had worked as a sports anchor/reporter on regional cable news network in Chicago. While there, he covered all local sports teams for the 24-hour cable news network; anchored sportscasts; and hosted SportsPage, a one-hour Sunday night program featuring live guests and viewer calls.

Equally as comfortable dissecting zone defenses as he is discussing cashmere sweaters, Mike Greenberg entertains audiences with stories of life as a family man and sports talk show host. Read Less ^
