APB's Mira Sorvino Appears on "The Today Show" to Discuss Her Role in the #MeToo Movement

An Oscar winner, star of the new TV show Condor and a mother of four, Mira Sorvino appeared on The Today Show to share her thoughts on the arrest of Harvey Weinstein, his impact on her career and her part in the #MeToo movement. Sorvino spoke out about her experiences with Weinstein and the sexual harassment she was a victim of while promoting the 1995 film Mighty Aphrodite. After dodging Weinstein’s unwanted advances on two occasions, Sorvino experienced a lull in her career due to being blacklisted by Weinstein.

A proud mother of four, Sorvino is making huge strides for the #MeToo and “Time’s Up” movements in the hopes of making the future a brighter one for her children and future generations. In addition, she is currently working with California lawmakers on some of the strongest anti-sexual harassment legislation in the nation. It will outline the statute of limitations and training that must take place within companies to prevent such issues.
