Rye Barcott’s New Book Courage Can Save US Explores Service, Leadership, and the Courage to Move Forward
08 Jun 2026
At a time when many people are looking for steadier leadership and shared purpose, Rye Barcott’s new book, Courage Can Save US, offers a timely reminder: courage is also found in the decision to serve, listen, lead, and stay committed when the work is difficult.
Launching June 9, the book grew out of Barcott’s years of work with With Honor and conversations across political, military, and civic life. It encourages more Americans, especially students, to consider a path of service and recognize courage in their own lives and public life.
Barcott brings a perspective shaped by military service, social entrepreneurship, and civic leadership. A U.S. Marine veteran, he co-founded Carolina For Kibera and With Honor, a cross-partisan organization focused on principled veteran leadership in public office.
For organizations, the message reaches beyond politics. Courage Can Save US speaks to the kind of leadership needed now: integrity, trust across difference, and a commitment to service over self-interest.
All author proceeds from the book support With Honor.
