Michael Douglas Joins Kelly Corrigan for a Conversation on Life, Resilience, and One Helluva Ride

06 Oct 2026

MICHAEL DOUGLAS, ACADEMY AWARD-WINNING ACTOR & PRODUCER NEW MEMOIR, OCTOBER 6

Michael Douglas has spent decades telling unforgettable stories on screen. This October, he is sharing his own.

On October 7, Douglas will join bestselling author and interviewer Kelly Corrigan for a special conversation in Washington, D.C. centered on his new memoir, One Helluva Ride. The event takes place at Sixth & I, one day after the book’s October 6 release.

In One Helluva Ride, Douglas looks back on a life and career shaped by family legacy, creative risk, extraordinary success, personal challenges, and reinvention. The memoir traces his journey from growing up in the shadow of his father, Kirk Douglas, to becoming an Academy Award-winning actor and producer in his own right.

The conversation also reaches beyond Hollywood. Douglas has spoken publicly about his experience with stage IV cancer, while Corrigan, a breast cancer survivor herself, has built much of her work around honest conversations about family, caregiving, loss, resilience, and what helps people move through difficult chapters.
