September 11 Remembrance: We Will Never Forget
11 Sep 2026
September 11 is a day we carry with us.
Twenty-five years after the attacks of September 11, 2001, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost and the families whose grief became part of our nation’s history. We remember the first responders who moved toward danger, the ordinary people who helped one another, and the survivors and communities forever changed by that day.
Remembering September 11, 2001
The anniversary of September 11 is a time for reflection. It asks us to hold space for profound loss while also honoring the courage, service, and humanity shown in the face of tragedy.
We remember the firefighters, police officers, emergency medical workers, service members, volunteers, and everyday citizens who responded with extraordinary bravery. We remember the families who have carried unimaginable loss for 25 years, and the communities that continue to honor the memory of those taken too soon.
In the darkest hours, people reached for one another. Strangers became helpers. Communities came together. Acts of compassion, sacrifice, and resolve became part of how we remember.
Today, we honor those we lost, those who responded, and all who continue to carry the memory of September 11.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
