As the former Brand Manager for Old Spice at Proctor & Gamble, Talge turned a stale product into a fresh, exciting men’s care line that created huge growth for P&G. Now at TaylorMade, he leads global marketing for TaylorMade, adidas Golf and Ashworth brands, helping drive product growth even while recreational golfing has seen a decline.
Growing up in mid-America made Talge the perfect fit out of college when he joined the nation’s largest John Deere dealership network, RDO Equipment Co., as a marketing coordinator. He left as the marketing manager for RDO’s Southwest Construction Division, to earn his MBA at the University of Notre Dame’s College of Business.
Talge then joined Procter & Gamble’s Folgers brand, where he launched a stomach friendly coffee and re-launched the Folgers Coffeehouse Series. He also led the advertising and media plan development for the entire brand, resulting in record brand equity scores and significantly improved media ROI. Talge next became Brand Manager, working directly with P&G’s second largest global customer, the Target Corporation, driving new ways for consumers to interact with personal care products at the retailer.
In his second Brand Manager role for Global Venus, located in Boston, MA, Talge was responsible for the branding and market development of the Venus portfolio of women’s shaving products across the key Venus markets of North America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Asia and Australia.
He is currently the Chief Marketing officer for Sound United, which runs the Polk Audio, Polk Boom, and Definitive Technology brands.
Talge’s presentations are incredibly fun multi-media experiences that break down the essence of effective brand management and product growth. They are definitely some of the most entertaining business presentations you will ever experience. Read Less ^
