Education Noticeably Overlooked in State of the Union Address

In his State of the Union Address, Trump neglected to speak on the topic of education. Louis Freedberg, from EdSource said, “Trump has had no success in advancing that agenda during his first two years in the White House.”
Trump’s only mention of the subject was a brief comment to approve “school choice” legislation, without providing details about what he has in mind: “To help support working parents, the time has come to pass school choice for America’s children…” In the history of State of the Union addresses, Trump's was the most lacking in the topic of education.
