New York Times columnist and CBS correspondent David Pogue was featured on this week’s episode of CBS Sunday Morning where he discussed his article “Seeing Red: Mankind Gets Closer to Mars.”
Pogue reported on the prognosis for manned exploration of Mars and discussed the race between NASA and SpaceX. Both NASA and SpaceX will be launching short test flights to the planet in late 2020. Administrators at NASA predict being able to send people to Mars in the mid-2030s, while SpaceX has a much more ambitious goal of 2024, Pogue reports.
