APB is proud to offer an extensive roster of today’s leading health and wellness speakers who educate and engage audiences on hot-button healthcare topics and emerging trends of the day. Advocate, artist and APB speaker Regina Holliday started a medical advocacy blog after her husband passed away from poor care and a lack of access to his own medical data. Holliday created this forum to be “a place where art, medicine, social media and pop-culture collide and create a patient voice in health information technology.” Since 2009, she has used her art to give a platform to those demanding healthcare policies for better quality patient treatment and safety. As an experienced painter, Holliday attends medical conferences and live paints stories on canvases as told by fellow advocates and patients. Over time, she developed and created The Medical Advocacy Mural Project.
We’re honored that two of our most inspiring APB exclusive speakers have been invited to appear on the Main Stage at PCMA Convening Leaders. Steve Pemberton and Nadya Okamoto share their inspiring stories of grit and resilience, proving that life experiences can uniquely position all of us to change the world for the better. The pair will be interviewed by Main Stage facilitator Holly Ransom.
